Ann brings a winning pedigree and a deep love for the game to Ascend. A 2009 graduate of Brown University, she was named the team's Most Valuable Defensive Player, a distinction that foreshadowed the kind of impact she would go on to have as a coach. She currently serves as the head field hockey coach at St. Anne's-Belfield School, having previously led the program at The Taft School in Connecticut. A two-time Central Virginia Coach of the Year, Ann guided her team to the 2024 VISAA State Championship.

Ann is a firm believer in the multi-sport athlete. In her view, playing multiple sports builds a broader competitive perspective, strengthens the ability to adapt, and develops the teamwork and leadership skills that define great athletes and great people. For Ann, the best players are those who bring the full range of their athletic experience to the field, and she coaches with that belief at the center of everything she does.

Beyond the field, Ann serves as the Associate Director of Upper School Admissions at St. Anne's-Belfield School, a role that reflects her deep investment in young people and their futures both inside and outside of sport.

When she's not coaching or working, you'll find Ann baking and cooking with her kids or soaking up time on the beach in New England.
