Jess brings a rare combination of elite athletic experience, academic distinction, and a lifelong commitment to mentorship. A two-time state champion at Wyoming Seminary in Northeast, Pennsylvania, she earned multiple all-state honors and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in October 2025, a testament to the lasting mark she left on the program. She went on to be a four-year starter and captain at Villanova University, where she graduated in 2015; earned All-Big East Team Honors, All-Big East Academic Honors, and NFHCA All-Academic Honors; and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, one of the most prestigious academic honor societies in the country. 

Since college, Jess has built an extensive coaching resume across the East Coast, working with camps, clubs, and USA Field Hockey's Futures program, now known as Nexus, and bringing the same development-first approach to every player she has worked with along the way.

Off the field, Jess serves as the Assistant Director of Pre-Major Advising at UVA, where she earned her Ph.D. in English in 2023 and teaches courses ranging from "The Ethics of Sports" to "Art and Attunement." The throughline across coaching, advising, and teaching for Jess is the same: a genuine love of mentorship and a belief that helping people grow is the most rewarding work there is.

When she is not on the field or at UVA, you can find Jess biking around Charlottesville with her partner, playing pickleball, reading novels, or crocheting.
